Living in La Mesa
While every town has “good” and “bad” areas, La Mesa strives to keep their residents of their community safe. For example, they participate in Safe Routes to School (SRTS), a federal, state and local initiative designed to enable and encourage all children to walk to school. The program kicked off in 2009 and partners with local law enforcement and parents to ensure children get to school safely. This makes La Mesa real estate perfect for families with children.
If your whole family enjoys walking—not just to school, but on the weekends too— check out the many walking routes that can be found in La Mesa, ranging from beginner to advanced.
