Considered one of Oceanside’s upscale (but affordable) neighborhoods, the area has been part of a development plan that comprises of beautiful new homes with a focus on community, parks and family life. While culturally similar to the southern neighborhood of Carlsbad, Rancho Del Oro offers close proximity to Carlsbad amenities without paying the price.

Rancho Del Oro has both a corporate & skateboard park, as well as plans for a new community park “El Corazon” which will offer bike trails, playground equipment, picnic areas, an outdoor amphitheater, and baseball and soccer fields. With Guajome Regional park located closely to Rancho del Oro, this addition will give residents new options for daily life.

The 16-acre Rancho Del Oro Park is one of the most loved aspects of the Oceanside area. It has plenty of grassy areas for kids and pets to run around as well as a tennis court available for public use on a first come first serve basis. Often used for recreational sports, this park is a great place to hang out with the family and soak up some sun. During the summer, the city of Oceanside also holds concerts and movie nights here–which is fun for the whole family.

North County transit operates several bus lines that spans Rancho Del Oro and neighboring areas.

As an alternative to commuting by car, Rancho del Oro offers access to The Coaster, a commuter rails service that runs from Oceanside to San Diego. It's perpendicular sister train, The Sprinter, offers commuters access to more eastern cities, such as Vista, San Marcos and Escondido.
