In short, San Diego is a paradise for single people, young couples, families, and retirees. In San Diego, stories like these are becoming increasingly common as the city struggles to incorporate thousands of new residents a year. The spike in population and prices has resulted in a surge in new construction. Every day you can find fresh, local produce somewhere in San Diego county. San Diego also hosts one of the [best school systems](https://www.niche.com/k12/rankings/public-school-districts/best-overall/m/san-diego-metro-area/) in California, with numerous elementary schools and high schools throughout the county. You can get your urban experience in Downtown and, when you are ready to start a family, a short drive to Mira Mesa or Sorrento Valley places you in a healthy suburban setting ideal for raising families.
