Located between Interstate 5 and 805 north east of Misson Bay lies the area of Clairemont Mesa. Covering approximately a 13 square miles, this area is home to approximately 80,000 San Diego residents. In terms of neighborhoods, Clairemont is divided into five different residential areas:

About Clairemont

Originally known as "The Village Within a City", the design of Clairemont brought in a new concept within community living in which it didn't incorporate traditional grid and block systems. Because of Clairemont's geography and landscape, some of the streets wind around canyons and bluffs to allow commuters a way to overlook the ocean towards the west.

Clairemont is home to Tecolote Canyon Natural Park, a six mile long nature path with many community entrances along the way, and Marian Bear Memorial Park, which is also know as San Clemente Canyon.

With the canyon, the Tecolote Golf Course, and a YMCA with a skate and bike park, this area is a great place for those who love to get outdoors.

Clairemont Real Estate Market

The Clairemont real estate market is HOT! Residents love living here and others are working hard to find the perfect home for them in this neighborhood. Many of the homes here were built in the 1950s and is primarily made up of medium sized (2-4 bedroom) family homes.

The San Diego Unified School District operates the public schools that are currently in the Clairemont neighborhood. With a total of 12 elementary schools, two middle schools and two high schools, Clairemont is a great place for those with growing families.

Transportation
